There nestles near the edge of town
A hallowed spot of some renown
Visited by folks from our beyond
It’s known to all as Baffin’s Pond

In the corner of this lovely spot
Is an area that time forgot
Until one George - a local man
Came up with a worthy plan

To save this corner was his dream
And set about without a team
Until some local Lads came round
And with his help they knuckled down

They gave the place a wash & clean
And helped our George fulfil his dream
And now today the pumping station
Is Baffin’s Pond Association

There’s Dave who is the leading light
He knows what’s wrong and what’s right
Hilary & Nicky are top team
And organise this happy scene

The rest of the band deserve a mention
To keep on top is their intention
The gardens do now rise & shine
With thanks to Rosemary & Thyme

Our Diane does her bit as well
And grows the plants for us to sell
With Malc & Tony on the site
There isn’t much they can’t put right

With Jackie & young Sophie too
There’s always lots of things to do
And Sam our happy little man
Will always help you when he can

And so that tells you who we are
We come on foot & bike & car
